This
beautiful excursion of medium difficulty lets you have 1st
class views of the gigantic rock-faces of Punta Giradili(732 m ), Punta
Argennas, Pedra Longa and Monte Ginnircu. One of the most imposing rocky
outcrops of the island, where the surrounding blue sea enhances the
steep, rugged cliffs.
With this
exscursion passing by an old
sheep-fold, still used today
by local shepherds, the path
continues along a mountain
ledge (600 m above sea level)
which was used in the past
as a mule track by carbon
burners. Then we descend
towards “Forrola”, wading across the “S’Erriu Mortu”
brook (that comes from a cave with the same name) and passing under
overhanging cliffs. |
