from Olbia |
Route:
SS 131
Olbia - Nuoro ; SS 389 Nuoro– Arbatax; time: 2 hrs |

Directions:
On leaving Olbia keep the sea on your
left.
Take this road, but be careful:
Although it is a branch of the SS 131
highway, there are no barriers or
islands dividing the dual carriageway
and the road surface is sometimes in
poor condition. We recommend that you
keep well within the 90 km speed limit.
After about 55km you will arrive near
the industrial area of Nuoro. Then
follow the signposts for Nuoro –
Lanusei – Lotzorai – Arbatax (there
a 1 km tunnel). Proceed along this road
for about 40 mins until you find a
junction for Villagrande, its on
the left opposite a petrol station. Take
this road which goes through the St.
Barbara woods until you arrive at the
crossroads for Villagrande. Drive
on for Tortolì, Lotzorai or
Lanusei. |

Directions:
On
leaving the airport / port head
towards the stadium – Poetto –
Villasimius. Then take the SS 125
for Muravera. Proceed towards Olbia –
Tortolì – Arbatax. (All villages can
easily be reached from Tortolì). |

Route:
SS 131; (131) branch for Nuoro; SS 389 Nuoro –
Arbatax; time: 3 hr

Directions:
Take
the main highway SS 131 and head towards
Cagliari. After about 90 km at
Abbasanta, you will find signposts
per Nuoro (for Nuoro): take the
overpass on the right to the other side
of the road. Drive as far as the
industrial area of Nuoro. Then follow
the signposts for Nuoro – Lanusei –
Lotzorai – Arbatax (there is a 1 km
tunnel). Proceed along this road for
about 40 mins until you find a junction
